Where to Stay in Palm Springs

Club Trinidad Resort

Club Trindad PictureA couple of years ago, I bought a Time Share position at the Club Trinidad Resort in Palm Springs, CA. I bought the full equity share without even seeing the Units. I don’t recommend this normally but the investment was minimal.

My first visit was on a business trip and I was surprised. The location is really close to downtown Palm Springs and the strip. This resort is a quaint 2 story converted Motel that has been upgraded to a Time Share Resort. The reception area is a bit outdated and so is the Restaurant and Bar but the history is worth reading. I guess the “Rat Pack” would jamb there back in the day.

The rooms are larger and have a living room, full kitchen, a small ding area and our had one bedroom. There are 2 bedrooms as well as studio suites available. The bathroom had been updated but the door was small and swung close to the sink. The bed had a older mattress and was uncomfortable. The exterior of the resort had just been restored with new stucco, windows and a Solar Heating and collection system.

There are 2 pool areas that are really nice and our room was just off the pool within 5 feet of the gate. Noce to sit out in the morning and read a newspaper and drink a coffee. The pool areas also have a whirlpool spa. Everything was really clean and surprisingly quite. I am not into noisey Resorts. Club Trinidad also has a Owners Lounge with coffee etc. and a huge TV, books, and wireless internet. They even set up tours for you and have a reception wine and cheese!

My wife and I stayed a week and have now renewed our membership (our resort fee’s and taxes are under $400.00 a year) and will go again this Fall. You really can’t beat the price and location for what you invest every year. I suggest you call Club Trinidad and rent one of the rooms before you make a decision to invest.

Kind Regards,

Larry
